Danbury Westerners Salute Imagination Library's Free Reading Program

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Westerners will salute the Imagination Library's free reading program on Friday, July 25, at Rogers Park at 6:30 p.m.

Every month, Imagination Library mails a free book to participating children ages birth to 5 years old. To date, the program has provided 165,000 books to 7,500 children. The program is run in the Danbury area by the United Way of Western Connecticut. 

The public is invited to attend the game to applaud the baseball game and the literacy program. Tickets to the Westerners baseball game are $5 for adults and children under 12 are admitted for free.
