Danbury's Boughton Teaching The Ins And Outs Of Government At Academy

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury residents who would like to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to keep a city running are invited to take part in Mayor Mark Boughton's annual Citizens Government Academy.

Held for seven weeks, the academy gives residents the chance to learn the inner workings of various city departments. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays from Sept. 7 to Oct. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.

“This is a program myself, and the city, greatly look forward to,” said Boughton. “We are excited to provide residents with the opportunity to become more informed and involved citizens.” 

The first session will be held at City Hall in the Council Chambers on the third floor. Applications are available at City Hall in the Mayor’s Office or online here
