Residents are asked to take donations to the Newtown Savings Bank at 30 Main St. in Danbury and not to the Danbury Library.

Donations may be left on the lower level underneath the mailboxes, across from the elevator. A volunteer is available on Tuesday mornings to help with multiple boxes. Residents are asked to knock on the Friends door to request help.

The Friends of the Danbury Library are also looking for a new location for collecting, sorting and storing donated books. The organization needs more than 1,250 square feet of heated/air conditioned space, preferably in or near downtown Danbury. Those with ideas are asked to contact the group at info@danburyfriends.org.

For more information, contact the group at 203-797-4568 or visit the Friends of the Danbury Library website.
