The event is free and features an expo, vendors and entertainment for youths and adults. Event proceeds will help establish college scholarship funds for high school graduates who intend to major in science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, disciplines.

Last year's event brought in over 315 professional and elite amateur racers from nine states and from several countries, including Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Germany and New Zealand.

"We were pleased with the debut year of the Race4Scholars Criterium. We had an incredible turnout of riders for a first-year race. From the weather to the organization to the racing ... all in all, it was a great event," said Josh Weeks, dealer principal for Danbury Audi, who returns as title sponsor.
