Ridgefield Market Owner Is On A Mission To Heal

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Nature's Temptations is more than a market. For Ridgefield Owner Jeff Konchalski, the organic grocery shop is his life's calling.

The desire to get -- and stay healthy-- started as a young boy based on the fact that Konchalski was sick a lot. He had spinal meningitis and so was unable to participate in many of the activities his peers were doing.

At 15, he started researching food and supplements, which eventually helped him overcome his adversity and work his way back to good health.

That passion for health and healing took off and led him to where he is today  -- providing a much-needed space for his local community, to not only eat right, but be educated properly.  That meant bringing in like-minded people including a nutritionist, health care counselor and naturopathic physician.

All of these folks -- including himself and his chef -- do extensive research sourcing out the best food, supplements and body care products available.

Konchalski said he's seen customers turn their health around by eating clean, organic and highly nutritious foods (and by taking good quality supplements/vitamins).

About 90 percent of all products in Nature's Temptation are organic. All produce is 100 percent organic and non-gmo as is the juice bar. Some products are not certified organic, however they are grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides (many smaller companies can't afford the Certified Organic certification).

As for what's new for 2017, Konchalski said to expect more community outreach, more demos, and more tastings and education on food and products.

Nature's Temptations is at 32 Prospect St., (203) 438-5443. The store and Konchalski were recently profiled by Norwalk-based HooplaHa-Only Good News.
