Goldstein, 33, was charged with illegal possession of child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance after police searched his Hamden home on July 13. He was expected in court Tuesday, but his case was continued until Aug. 12, NBC Connecticut said.

An arrest affidavit said state police used a Peer-To-Peer network to download three pornographic videos from an account assigned to Goldstein, NBC Connecticut said.

Computers and computer-related equipment were seized from Goldstein's home after files of suspected child pornography were found, state police said.

Goldstein is free on $200,000 bond and has been suspended from work.

"We are deeply concerned by the allegations. Until the matter is resolved, Justin Goldstein is suspended from his duties at WTNH,” said Mark Higgins, president and general manager of WTNH-TV.
