Bitter Cold Will Give Way To Showers In Danbury

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Temperatures will begin to climb back to normal levels this week in Fairfield County, but the threat of rain on Wednesday and Thursday will dampen the mood.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures at a chilly 39 degrees with wind chills making it feel closer to an unseasonable 25 degrees.

Showers will begin to move into the area Wednesday after 3 p.m. with a high temperature of 40. The chance of rain is 30 percent. 

Thursday will be much warmer, but rain and patchy fog is very likely as well as a possible thunderstorm after noon. High temperatures will be about 54 degrees with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. 

Rain will leave the area on Friday, but clouds will remain with a high of about 49 degrees. 

The weekend will be partly-to-mostly sunny with temperatures in the low-to-mid 40s.
