Many motorists recognize the corner of Deer Hill Avenue and Wilson Street as along the route of a popular cut-through from downtown Danbury to the Danbury Fair Mall.

And many familiar with the busy intersection aren't surprised to see a fender-bender or near-miss there. But Tuesday's was a bit unusual — with an SUV sitting up on the lawn of a home and a pickup truck straddling the sidewalk at the corner.

Danbury police, fire and EMS responded to the scene of the crash, which occurred just before 6 p.m. Traffic was diverted for a time around Wilson Street.

No serious injuries were reported. Both cars were towed from the scene.
