I-84 In Danbury Reopens After Crash With Serious Injuries

Update: I-84 has reopened Saturday morning, but no further information was available on the crash, DOT said.

DANBURY, Conn. — I-84 westbound was closed early Saturday due to a two-vehicle crash with life-threatening injuries, according to Connecticut State Police and state Department of Transportation. 

The highway was closed between Exits 4 and 3 because of the crash, DOT said. The accident was reported at 10:45 p.m. Friday. I-84 was still closed into early Saturday.

"I84 wb x4 Danbury CLOSED for 2 vehicle crash with life-threatening injuries. Reduce speed approaching area," State Police said via Twitter. 

No other details were available early Saturday.
