Buck plans to build a warehouse on the 13-acre field off Old Ridge Road in order to store personal property, according to the report. However, he has decided to start construction after the kids find a new place to play soccer, the report states.
This year, Buck ranked No. 235 on the Forbes 400 list of top billionaires in the country. Last summer, he donated $30 million to Western Connecticut Health Network for the construction of a $150 million addition to Danbury Hospital. The Peter Buck and Carmen Lucia Pavilion named after Buck and his late wife has been the largest construction project in the hospital’s 129-year history.
