The 34th Annual WestConn Society Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 11:30 a.m. at the Ethan Allen Hotel, 21 Lake Avenue Extension in Danbury.

Rebeiro is a native of Danbury and has a special relationship with Western Connecticut State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

She is on the board of directors of the WCSU Foundation and her family created the Rizzo Endowed Scholarship for the Ancell School of Business, which has been helping undergraduates for more than 10 years. Rebeiro and NY-CONN Corp. recently added another $50,000 to the scholarship fund to benefit graduate students, a first for the Ancell School.

“I am very proud to be a part of the school that gave me an excellent education,” Rebeiro said. “I obtained the stepping stones needed to navigate in the business world from my professors at the Ancell School of Business. I often catch myself quoting one of my professors and it is then that I realize what a strong foundation I was given and the impact my teachers had on me then and now.”

As a female executive in a male-dominated industry, Rebeiro has not only succeeded, but offers guidance to other women in business as a member of the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce of Western Connecticut and the Chambers Women’s Business Council. She also is on the board of directors of the Regional Hospice, and with her family supports several other charities. She is regularly honored by community organizations for the work and intelligence she puts toward many projects.

Rebeiro and her husband, Anthony, have three children: Stephanie, 27; Nicholas, 25; and Steven, 21.
