Danbury Crew Works To Repair Water Main Break

DANBURY, Conn. — The Water Department crew is on the scene of a water main break on Midfield Road on Friday morning, according to Mayor Mark Boughton.

The water main break was reported just before 8 a.m.

"We are in the process of shutting water service down to the area. Customers without water during this repair will include all customers on Midfield Road," said a Facebook post from Boughton.

The surrounding areas may experience discolored water during and immediately after the repair.

The repair work was expected to take four hours to complete, he said.

"As always, we will flush hydrants in the area to alleviate any discolored water once the repair has been completed and water service has been restored to all of our customers," he said.
