Danbury Electrical Contractor Dies From Injuries At Wilton Worksite

WILTON, Conn. -- An electrical contractor from Danbury died Friday morning from injuries suffered at a worksite in Wilton where he was replacing utility poles for Eversource, according to the News-Times.

Marco Silva, 44, was taken to Norwalk Hospital on Thursday after his equipment apparently touched a power line near 31 Rivergate Drive in Wilton. Silva was a private contractor working for KTI Utility Construction of Wilton to replace utility poles for Eversource, according to the News-Times.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death, and OSHA has begun an investigation, the News-Times said.
