DANBURY, Conn. -- Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Danbury last week:

  • A dead dog was found in a crate in the back of an illegally parked car at a condo complex in Danbury.
  • A two-vehicle crash occurred on I-84 west between Exits 7 and 6 in Danbury.
  • A 29-year-old Stamford man Shota Mekoshvili, 29,  was charged with murder in the death of a cab driver who was found stabbed in the in a yard in the city's Westover neighborhood.
