FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — One story dominated the news in Fairfield County in the past week: Megyn Kelly's interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, which is scheduled to air on Sunday on NBC.

Here are the top stories of the past week in the Daily Voice: 

The story began when news broke of Kelly's interview Jones, who says the deadly shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December 2012 was a fake, drawing the outrage of victims' families

After that, the Sandy Hook Promise, a Newtown-based gun violence prevention organization, fired Kelly as the emcee for its annual gala.

In response to the firestorm, Kelly and NBC overhauled the interview. And even as parents called for NBC to pull the interview, the local affiliate in Connecticut said it will not air the episode of "Sunday Night." 

A state parole officer and her boyfriend were charged with kidnapping a 1-year-old boy from his Stratford mother, telling the 17-year-old she was too young to be a mother.
