Jury In Danbury Reverses Decision In Manslaughter Case

DANBURY, Conn. -- In a strange legal twist in State Superior Court in Danbury, a jury first convicted then acquitted Robert Bell of all charges in the December 2012 shooting of his wife in New Fairfield, according to the News Times.

The jurors initially gave a ruling of guilty, but then reportedly questioned the process of delivering the verdict.

The judge sent the jurors back to deliberate more, where they soon reversed their decision, according to the article.

Svetlana Bell, a music teacher at Cider Mill School in Wilton , was shot four times by her husband during an altercation in their New Fairfield home on Dec. 9, 2012.
