DANBURY, Conn. -- Jury selection will begin Tuesday, May 24 in the case of a Danbury man accused of killing his 19-month-old son son, Ayden Baskay, in 2013, according to News-Times.
Christian P. Williams, 27, who has been held on bond since his arrest following his son's death, is charged with first-degree manslaughter and risk of injury to a minor. Police say that Williams was watching Ayden and another son when he called for an ambulance. Ayden was pronounced dead that night, said News-Times.
Williams was charged with murder after an autopsy determined Ayden had died from blunt-force trauma to his head and subdural hemorrhaging, according to police. Following jury seating next week, the trial is not expected to begin until at least August, added News-Times.
