Peter Thulin, 21, of Torrington was sentenced in Litchfield on Tuesday, said Fox 61.
Thulin is alleged by authorities to have teamed up with Natalie Carpenter, then 18, Fox 61 reported. The two lived at a group home where another resident reported the alleged plot, said Fox 61.
Court records revealed that Carpenter, of Torrington, was plotting to carry out a Columbine-style shooting at Danbury High School to get back at people she felt bullied her, according to a previous report in the Torrington Register Citizen.
Carpenter divulged in her diary that she and her accomplice Thulin planned a shooting similar to Columbine in which Carpenter would exact revenge by shooting students at Danbury High before committing suicide, the Register Citizen reported.
Carpenter was charged with attempt to commit first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit assault. She previously plead guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison, Fox 61 reported.
