original story: DANBURY, Conn. — Eversource is reporting a number of power outages late Tuesday morning in Danbury after powerful thunderstorms moved through the region overnight.

As of 11:10 a.m., a total of 325 customers were without power in Danbury, or about 1 percent of the city. That is up from the 43 outages reported in the early morning.

Fallen trees and power lines were reported in the downtown/southern end of the city on Deer Hill Avenue, Mountainville Road and Washington Avenue, among others. Fence damage was also reported in Rogers Park.

Danbury and Eversource crews were out clearing trees and repairing wire damage on Tuesday morning.

In nearby Bethel, Route 6 was blocked between Old Hawleyville and Weed Roads after a tree fell on a power line. Town and Eversource crews were working in that area as well.
