The train involved was the 6:48 a.m. out of Danbury due in at Grand Central at 8:47 a.m., spokesman Aaron Donovan told the News-Times.
No injuries were reported as the passengers moved to another train, the News-Times said.
Delays continued for most of rush-hour until the tree was cleared, the story said.
