The event is an annual clean-up program with local citizens and businesses teaming up to help clean streets, neighborhoods, parks and waterways. Winters Bros. will supply free hauling and disposal for waste material collected during the massive community cleanup.

The company also will provide a free, one-day, confidential paper shredding program for Danbury residents. Residents can bring their sensitive documents that require shredding to the Winters Bros. Recycling Center at 307 White St., from 8 a.m. to noon.

“We are honored to help the City and provide disposal services for the waste and recyclables that are collected during the cleanup day,” said Ryan Bingham, division manager of Connecticut operations for Winters Bros. Waste Systems. “This one-day, annual event is a great way to rally hundreds of volunteers across the city and make Danbury shine.”

Participants will help with park beautification, road and creek cleanups, lot cleanups and more. Citizens interested in participating or learning more about the 2016 Clean City Danbury Day can click here
