Angelo Mammoliti, 83, Of Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. – Angelo Mammoliti, of Danbury, died on Thursday, March 12, at the Danbury. He was 83.

He was born in Via Paoli, Decollatura, Provincia Catanzaro, Italy, to Domenico and Filomena Gigliotti Mammoliti.

He emigrated from Italy to Montreal, Canada and married Assunta in 1958, then emigrated to the U.S. They were married for almost 57 years.

Mammoliti belonged to the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge, where he actively participated in building up the club's bocce court and decking and volunteered at the Italian Festival. During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, carpentry, masonry, automotive repair, wine and soppressatas.

Mammoliti is survived by Assunta; his three children, Anna Denninger and her husband Cory of Danbury; Domenic Mammoliti of Mount Dora, Fla.; and Carlo Mammoliti and his wife Mary of Norwalk; eight grandchildren and three brothers.

The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Ave., Danbury.
