Benjamin Torres Sr., 65, Of Danbury, Worked As A Machinist For Securitas

DANBURY, Conn. - Benjamin Torres Sr. of Danbury died Tuesday, Aug. 6. He was 65.

Torres was born April 19, 1948, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, son of Juan and Amelia Hernandez Torres. He grew up in Brooklyn. He moved to Connecticut in 1976 where he made his home since. He work as a machinist at Blackstone Industries and later for Securitas.

Torres is survived by his sons, Benjamin Torres, Jr. (Dawn) and Daniel Torres; two grandsons; brother, Joel; two sisters, Miriam Rodriguez and Blanca Medina (David); his former wife, Noemi Douglas; several nieces, nephews; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; twin brother, Julio Caesar; and sisters, Ana Torres and Eva Ramos.

There are no calling hours. A Graveside service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12 at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, with Deacon Richard Kovacs officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
