Bernard McRedmond, 72, Of Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. - Bernard John Joseph McRedmond of Danbury died Monday, Nov. 24. He was 72.

McRedmond was born Jan. 14, 1942, in Stamford, to Jean (Rogalski) and Bernard McRedmond Sr. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and was a 1960 industrial electronics graduate from J.M. Wright Technical School.

After his marriage he  moved to Danbury. He worked for Cober Electronics, Manson Labs, Pitney Bowes, Alpex Computer, Universal Voltronics, Network Control Corporation, and Kimchuk, Inc. He was a Rotarian, an EMT, and a volunteer fireman for Independent Hose Company Number 4.

McRedmond is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Kathleen (Gold) (Michael) of New Milford, and Heather of Knoxville, Tenn.; son, Mark (Peggy) of New Milford; four grandchildren; brother, Eugene McRedmond (Audrey), The Villages, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Peter McRedmond.

Calling hours are Saturday, Nov. 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A prayer service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
