Christine Deboben Hunt, 81, Formerly Of Danbury

SOUTHBURY, Conn. - Christine Deboben Hunt of Southbury, formerly of Danbury, died March 11. She was 81.

Hunt was born Jan. 7, 1933, in Danbury, to William Hogan and Amy (Frazure) Hogan. She was a  graduate of Danbury High School. She and her husband, Donald, were longtime Danbury residents who owned and operated Poor Richards Restaurant on Main Street for several years. She also worked in the grocery and retail businesses. For many years, she worked at the Pulse Point in downtown Danbury for the HART Bus Co.

After the death of Donald, she married Gordon of Danbury in 1997. They briefly lived in North Carolina before moving back to Danbury. After his death, she continued to live in Danbury until moving to Southbury several years ago.

Hunt is survived by her daughters, Diane Bell of Essex and Donna Deboben of Southbury; sister, Mildred Radachovsky of Fayettville, N.C.; five grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Donald F. Deboben and Gordon J. Hunt; son, Donald K. Deboben Sr.; and brother, Edward Hogan.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday, March 17, at St. Peter Church, 115 Main St., Danbury. Entombment will follow at the St. Peter Cemetery mausoleum.
