Clara Sousa, 82, Of Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. - Clara Sousa of Danbury, and formerly of Mount Vernon, N.Y., died Nov. 28. She was 82.

Sousa was born March 5, 1932, in Mt. Vernon, to John and Mary Sousa. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Vernon where she was a eucharistic minister and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also volunteered at the Franciscan Missions.

Sousa is survived by her siblings, Connie Santos, Dolores Hobson and Agnes Crocco; many nieces, nephews; and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Bella White, Doris Wool and Tillie DiCintio; and brothers, Augie Sousa, John Sousa and Herbie Sousa.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec.3 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Mt. Vernon. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
