Deoretha J. Hollins, 96, Retired Dietary Supervisor At Danbury Hospital

DANBURY, Conn. - Deoretha J. Hollins of Danbury died Tuesday, Sept. 16. She was 96.

Hollins was born in Memphis, Tenn., to Jap and Bertha Lenard. She was a dietary supervisor at Danbury Hospital for 25 years retiring in 1993.

Hollins is survived by her children, James Hollins, Larry Hollins, Bennie Hollins, Lula Mae Lammie, Mildred Louise Spruill, Deoretha Simone, Chester Lee Hollins, Mary Ann Hollins and Gerald Hollins; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Bennie Hollins.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the New Bethel Church of God in Christ, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the New Bethel Church of God in Christ, 26 Liberty St., Danbury, with the Rev. Henry N. White, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
