Dorothy Elizabeth Brave, Former Danbury Resident

NEW MILFORD, Conn. - Dorothy Elizabeth Brave of New Milford, formerly of Stamford and Danbury, died Aug. 6. She was 75.

Brave was born Aug. 31, 1938, in Charlotte Courthouse, Va., to Claudie Anderson and Dorothy Elizabeth (Logan) Anderson. She received her education at Central High School in Charlotte Courthouse, and was a member of St. Louis Church before moving to Stamford, at the age of 19. She would eventually make her home in Danbury before moving to New Milford where she was a longtime resident. She was a member of the Faith Church in New Milford. After her retirement from Amphenol Corp., she went on to work at the New Milford High School until 2010.

Brave is survived by her husband, Alexzander Brave Jr.; son, Paul Labine Wilson, Jr. of Petersburg, Va.; daughters, Lisa (Linton Omar) Grant of Woodbridge, Va., and Linda Dosha Wilson of Danbury; sister, Robinette (Edward) McCarley of Danbury; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and many cousins in Charlotte Courthouse, Va. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Louis Anderson; and sister, Rachel Anderson.

Calling hours are Monday Aug. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 at Faith Church, New Milford. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
