DANBURY, Conn. - Elizabeth Furtado of Danbury died Wednesday, Oct. 29. She was 53.
Furtado was born March 24, 1961, in Danbury, to Maria C. (Simao) Furtado of Danbury and Manuel Furtado, Sr. She attended Danbury Schools and was a lifelong resident of Danbury. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Furtado is survived by her mother, Maria; brothers, Louis Furtado and Jose Furtado; sister, Sandra Lariviere; a niece and nephew. She was predeceased by her father, Manuel; and brother, Manuel Furtado, Jr.
Calling hours are Monday, Nov. 3 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury with the Rev. Jose Brito Martins, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
