Frederick H. Corirossi, 80, Of Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. - Frederick H. Corirossi, of Danbury and Westchester County, died Sunday evening at Danbury Hospital. He was 80.

Corirossi was born in New York City on Feb. 8, 1935, to William and Lena Corirossi. He graduated from Iona College and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a dental assistant.

He worked as an overseas operator for AT&T and as a library assistant at Manhattan College, volunteering at Queen of the Clergy and the Danbury Registrar's Office as well.

He was a remarkable dancer and an avid Yankees fan. 

He is survived by his son Frederick "Tony" Corirossi of Clifton, N.J.; daughter Terri Fermo and husband Anthony; grandsons Anthony and Nicholas of Fairfield, N.J.; sister Joy Episalla of Bronxville, N.Y.; nephew Dr. Charles Episalla of Middletown, N.Y.; niece Joy Episalla of New York City; as well as other nieces and nephews.

Corirossi was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony, John and Bill, who was killed in World War II and buried in Normandy.

Calling hours will be at the Green Funeral Home, at 57 Main St. in Danbury, on Wednesday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Ave. in Danbury. 

Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y.
