DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury resident Joaquim Nunes Lopes died on Wednesday, June 1. He was 73.
Born in Dornelas, Portugal, Lopes was a Danbury resident for the past 40 years and retired from Heli-Coil Company in 2006.
Lopes is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maria Celina de Andrade (Pina) Lopes; his daughter, Sonia Marisa Pina Lopes; his daughter, Maria de Fatima Lopes-Estanqueiro and her husband, Luis; and his grandchildren, Kyle and Alexis.
He also is survived by his sister, Augusta Pinto and his nieces and nephews.
Lopes was predeceased by his parents, Jose and Rosa (Nunes) Lopes.
