DANBURY, Conn. - Karen A. (Mannion) Fortier of Danbury died Friday, Oct. 17. She was 61.
Fortier was born in Danbury, to Edwin X. and Gloria Wixon Mannion. She was a 1970 graduate of Bethel High School. She received her BA from Western Connecticut State University as well as her MA in accounting. A longtime employee with Anheuser-Busch in Newburgh, N.Y., she retired after over 20 years there. She was previously with National Can in Bethel.
Fortier is survived by her partner, Aurelio Varrone; many cousins; and friend, Kate Trinkline of Bethel. She was predeceased by her parents; and daughter, Katie Taylor Mannion.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury with the Rev. Samuel V. Scott, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
