Louis N. Baiad, 76, Formerly Of Danbury, Industrial Electrician

BETHEL, Conn. - Louis N. Baiad of Bethel, formerly of Danbury, died Friday, Nov. 14. He was 76.

Baiad was born June 21, 1938, in Danbury, to Nicholas and Victoria (Malkoon) Baiad. He attended Danbury schools and graduated from Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High School of New Jersey where he majored in industrial electricity. He was employed with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation as an industrial electrician. A lifelong area resident, he was a member of St. Ann Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Danbury.

Baiad is survived by his brother, Nicholas A. Baiad of Bethel; sisters, Marilyn T. Baiad of Bethel, Shirley A. Davis (Paul) and Evelyn A. Davis (John) all of Phoenix, Ariz., Loretta M. DeLuca (Augustine) of Brookfield and Ann Marie Longo (Mark) of Waterbury; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Kenneth J. Baiad.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Nov. 19 after 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at St. Ann Church. The Rite of Burial will take place Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Melkite Greek Catholic Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Road, (Rt. 39N), Danbury with the Rt. Rev. Archimandrite Michael K. Skrocki officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
