DANBURY, Conn. -- Maria Helena "Lena" Raimundo, of Danbury, died on Tuesday, March 29. She was 80.
Born in Portugal, Raimundo was a proud employee at Davis & Geck in Danbury for over 40 years. She was an active member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish and was an avid lover of flowers and animals, leaving behind her two precious pets.
She is survived by her children, Americo "Mac" Raimundo Jr. and his wife Debra, and Elizabeth Laranjeira and her husband João; grandchildren Christopher Laranjeira, João Laranjeira, Keith Raimundo and Melissa Raimundo; and her sister Manuela Gonçalves and her husband Manuel.
Raimundo was predeceased by her husband Americo "Mac" Raimundo, and her parents, Zulmira Marques Bento.
A mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, in Danbury, followed by a burial at St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations can be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Dear Hill Ave., Danbury CT 06810.
