DANBURY, Conn. - Mary Alice Anderson of Danbury died Saturday, Oct. 11. She was 61.
Anderson was born Feb. 8, 1953, in Carbondale, Pa., to Joseph and Antoinette (Catanzaro) McCann. A longtime parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church, she was involved in many church activities including the RCIA Program.
Anderson is survived by her daughters, Katie Haug (Dave) of Danbury and Margaret "Meg" Hammond (Matthew) of Ypsilanti, Mich.; three grandchildren; brother, Joseph McCann (JoAnn); sister, Anne "Nancy" Morrisroe (Peter); and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Ellen Edwards.
Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at St. Gregory the Great Church. Cremation and interment will take place privately at a later date.
