Mary Dana, 98, Danbury Resident

DANBURY, Conn. – Mary E. Dana of Danbury died Wednesday, Jan. 27 at The Regional Hospice and Home Care Center in Danbury. She was 98.

Before retiring, she worked for Raytheon, formerly known as Machlett Laboratories, in Stamford for 36 years in the Small Power Tube Division as the production scheduler. She was born in Bristol, R.I., and moved with her family to Waterbury, Conn., when she was 8 years old before moving to Stamford, where she lived until her retirement in 1987.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Clark of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and her son, Neale Dana of Bethel, Conn.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband, George M. Dana; her son George M. Dana Jr. of Pompano Beach, Fla.; her sister, Alice Griffin, and brothers Manual Mendonca, Joseph Mendonca and John Mendonca, all of Florida.

There are no calling hours, and interment will be at the family's discretion.
