Michael Corriere, 21, Danbury High Grad, Former WestConn Student

DANBURY, Conn. -- Michael Angelo Corriere, 21, of Danbury, son of Nanette (Durso) Corriere and the late Rocco Santo Corriere, died unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 1.

Corriere was born in Danbury on Dec. 28, 1993, and was a graduate of Danbury High School. He was a former student at Western Connecticut State University and aspired to become an English professor. He was a talented writer and enjoyed writing poetry and fictional stories. Corriere also loved computers, music, cooking and baking.

In addition to his mother, Nanette, he is survived his brother, Rocco; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous extended family members.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at St. Joseph Church, 370 Main St., Danbury. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association, 31 Federal Ave., Logan, UT 84321, or online.
