Muriel A. Williams, 95, Of Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. - Muriel A. Williams of Danbury died Friday, Oct. 17. She was 95.

Williams was born Aug. 15, 1919, in Newtown, to William and Myrtle (Gilbert) Whitlock and had been a Danbury resident since the age of 10. She attended Danbury High School and worked at the Bridgeport Brass Co. during World War II manufacturing shell casings. She also worked at Mallory Hat Company in Danbury, and retired from Kimberly Clark Corp. in New Milford in 1980 after 24 years of service. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Danbury.

She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Kubisek of Danbury, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families who knew her as "Aunt Midge." She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles "Cy" Williams; and brothers, William Whitlock, Wesley Whitlock and Wallace Whitlock.

Calling hours are Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
