Patricia Martin, 78, Worked For Duracell In Danbury

SARASOTA, Fla. - Patricia "Pat" (Sheeran) Martin of Sarasota died Aug. 3. She was 78.

Martin was born March 12, 1936, in Englewood, N.J., to Lillian and Thomas Sheeran. She attended St. Cecilia High School in Englewood and graduated from Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J., in 1957. She was a New Fairfield for 42 years and worked at Duracell in Danbury.

She retired to Sarasota, where she was a member and eucharistic minister at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.

Martin is survived by her husband, Owen Martin; son, Owen Martin III; daughter, Stacy Duncan; sons-in-law, Gregory and Robert; daughter-in-law, Lisa; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and their wives, Thomas, Gerald, Robert, Ronald and Kenneth Sheeran; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and daughter, Patricia "Trish" (Martin) Pina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18 at St. Edward Church, New Fairfield. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield, Conn.
