Thelma Ann Hill, 88, Worked For Hat Factories In Danbury

NEW MILFORD, Conn. - Thelma Ann (Deitz) Hill of New Milford died Thursday, June 12. She was 88.

Hill was born in Danbury, and was the daughter of Jacob and Mary Lubinska Deitz. She was a 1939 graduate of Sacred Heart School in Danbury. She was a graduate of Danbury High School class of 1943.

She was a former employee of the Neuman-Endler Hat Factory and the Frank H. Lee Hat Factory in Danbury. She was most recently an electronics assembler with Branson Sonic Electronics, National Semiconductor and Arrowhead Electronics. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church in Danbury.

Hill is survived by her husband, Francis E. Hill; and many nieces, nephews; and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Louise Torcaso, Catherine "Katie" Deitz, Mary Zenobia, Ann Balash, Sophie Muelfeld, Mildred Derbin, Matthew Deitz, John Deitz and Donald Deitz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17 at Sacred Heart Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
