2 Danbury Men Arrested With BB Gun Near Day-Care Center

DANBURY, Conn. -- Two Danbury men carrying a rifle-style BB gun spotted walking through the parking lot of a day-care center were arrested on multiple charges Monday morning, police said.

Several officers were dispatched to the area of 76 Balmforth Ave. on a report of suspicious activity at 11:54 a.m., police said. 

The complainant said two males with a firearm walked through the day-care center's parking lot and into the woods toward Wooster Cemetery at 20 Ellsworth Ave.

Officers located Eddison Loja, 18, of Danbury, and Walter Vasquez, 23, of Danbury in the woods of the cemetery, police said. Officers determined the weapon was a rifle-style BB gun.

Vasquez and Loja were each charged with breach of peace, second-degree criminal trespass and carrying and sale of a dangerous weapon.

Vasquez and Loja were each held on $2,500 bond.
