Offers responded to a call at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after a caller reported hearing six or seven gunshots near the water tower, police said. Danbury officers identified four suspects, who initially failed to comply with instructions to raise hands, police said. The four males were then taken into custody without further incident.

Officers located a 9mm handgun in the waist of one of the suspects. All four males admitted to officers that they each had fired the handgun in the park.
