The New Canaan Police Department received reports from a Oenoke Ridge Road resident shortly after 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon of a suspicious vehicle that had pulled into her driveway and left abruptly when approached, traveling southbound on the roadway.

Officers quickly tracked down the driver, Weymouth, Mass. resident Kenneth Rosen, and during the subsequent traffic stop, they found that Rosen had a cup of wine in his left hand and an open bottle of wine between his legs.

Rosen admitted to driving while drinking alcohol and he was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Following arraignment, Rosen was released on $250 bail and is due back in court later this year to answer the charge.
