Bethel Woman Charged With Using Machete In Attack

BETHEL, Conn. -- A Bethel woman was charged with wildly swinging a machete at a person she was arguing with early June 19 on Greenwood Avenue, according to WLAD.com.

Bethel Police told WLAD.com that Maria Medina, 47, starting hitting the person and threatened to kill them before grabbing the machete out of a car and began swinging it at the person and a vehicle.

Medina managed to damage the inside and outside of the vehicle before being restrained by police, WLAD.com reported. She was charged with breach of peace, criminal mischief, assault and threatening and released on bond, added WLAD.com.
