DANBURY, Conn. A 19-year-old man from Brewster, N.Y., was arrested early Monday on marijuana charges after Danbury police officers searched his van and found several ziplock bags of the drug, police said.
Danbury police arrested Michael Quinn of Green Acres Lane and charged him with possession marijuana (more than a half-ounce but less than 4 ounces), possession with intent to sell, possession within 1,500 feet of a school and sale of marijuana.
The arrest occurred at about 2 a.m. Monday after police received a complaint of a suspicious van in a parking lot on Rose Lane. After approaching the van, officers said they saw Quinn, the driver, and two other unnamed men inside. A strong odor of marijuana emanated from the van, and after searching it the officers found the ziplock bags, police said.
The other two men were not charged. Quinn was held on $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court Tuesday.
