When the two men were arrested, they had in their possession bills with serial numbers recorded by Union Savings Bank before the robbery, police said. Officers recovered a total of $8,077 in currency, police said.

Police arrested Daniel Rodriguez, who police say admitted to police he entered and robbed the bank.

Rodriguez was held on a $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear Wednesday at Danbury Superior Court.

Also arrested with the assistance of the Danbury Police Department was Kelsey Fournier, who was released Tuesday in Danbury on $5,000 bond.

The arrests came about after Brookfield investigators interviewed witnesses and reviewed videotape provided by Union Savings Bank security personnel, which led to the description of a vehicle, police said.

From that point, investigators developed additional information Tuesday that led to the identity of the suspects who were later arrested.

During this investigation, Brookfield Police received assistance from detective and patrol units of the Danbury Police Department, members of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force – Northwest Office, as well as from assets of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

This is a continuing investigation with police asking anyone with information relating to this bank robbery to call and speak with Brookfield Police Detective Michael Zezza at 203-775-2575.
