Car Rolls Over, Goes Down Embankment On I-84 In Danbury

The accident involved a car rolling over the center median and going down an embankment, according to Connecticut State Police. The crash scene was deep in brush off the highway, near the river.

UPDATED: DANBURY, Conn. — A car crash caused big traffic delays between Exits 7 and 8 on eastbound I-84 in Danbury on Wednesday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation. 

The crash was reported at about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, and the lane was closed with traffic tie-ups in the area for several hours, DOT said.

Only minor injuries were reported in the one-car crash, state police said. DOT and the Danbury Fire Department were on the scene.

All lanes had reopened by late Wednesday morning, and the crash scene was cleared by a wrecker.
