Civil Rights Activist Charged With Murdering Danbury Woman In South Dakota

DANBURY, Conn. -- A well-known former Danbury civil rights activist has been charged with murdering a Danbury woman in South Dakota, according to the New-Times.

Brian Duncan, 60, who was held on $750,000 bond, was charged with second-degree murder in the Nov. 4 slaying of Helen Wright, police in Rapid City, S.D., told the News-Times. 

Duncan and Wright had been sharing a hotel room in Rapid City, when she was found dead in the room, said the News-Times.

The two met in Danbury seven years ago, when he offered to help her with issues she was having with the Danbury Housing Authority about her rent, added News-Times.
