Danbury Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Blaze At Cellphone Store

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury firefighters responded to and quickly put out a small fire at a store on White Street on Friday afternoon.

A 911 call came in at 3:47 p.m. about smoke coming from the siding of a building exterior in a strip mall at 20 White St., according to Steven Rogers Jr., public information officer. The fire was at a Boost Mobile store, Rogers said.

The small fire created moderate smoke conditions and was quickly extinguished by Danbury firefighters, he said.

The Danbury Fire Department responded with 17 fire apparatus, two City of Danbury EMS units and one Mutual Aid Ladder Truck from Bethel.

There were no injuries. The fire remains under investigation.
