On April 9, the Danbury Police Department’s Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a complaint regarding the sexual abuse of the girl.
As a result of that investigation, an arrest warrant was granted for Romulo Medina, 66, of West Street.
Detectives from the Danbury Police Department’s Special Victims Unit located Medina on Friday, sne he was taken into custody without incident.
Medina was charged with first-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor, police said.
His bond was set by the court at $60,000.
Police did not release any further details of the case.
